A folding chair made of iron with a leather seat pad, designed by Calvin A. Buffington for the Ford Model T car. This ingenious, little foldable chair was patented by the Buffington company, in Berkshire, NY in 1912, and was designed to fit into the limited storage space available in the T-Ford. The chair is labeled by the manufacturer underneath. A similar model is part of the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
