We are very pleased to be one of the winning entries for the LA + ICONOCLAST Central Park Competition announced today. A design ideas competition that inspired 382 designers and artists from 30 countries to reimagine New York’s Central Park.
”From megastructures to new ecologies and radical ideas for democratizing public space, the LA+ ICONOCLAST winning entries show how designers can move beyond the status quo of picturesque large parks and embrace the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century,” jury chair Richard Weller said.

John Beckmann getting down and dirty in the Gallery at 432 Park Avenue. He likes to get involved, he also likes black for drama. The gallery is being completed by special finishes maestro Sir Anthony Chase, using a troweled black pearl, burnished with gunmetal and bronze polish.
Professor Luigi Nappi and about 20 architectural students from Sapienza University of Rome visited the studio for a casual discussion on the state of design, our work and career advice. John Beckmann (foreground) and Hannah LaSota (far right). We hope they enjoy the rest of their trip in New York!
